Facebook Update...
Last time I was on here, I opened a Facebook page as a social experiment. This experiment was supposed to be done with a friend of mine, but of course she backed out and decided she didn't want to get involved in the Facebook world. It's been a little while now and I've actually put a couple people on to it as well. I am getting more familiar with the whole thing and think it is kind of interesting. I've even downloaded the app on my BlackBerry. Still trying to find out if that was a good idea or not. I do find myself a little addicted to it at times. I have to make myself put the phone down when the traffic light turns green. I know that is pathetic. Anyway, I have come in contact with some people who I have thought about over the years and wondered what there lives were like now. Some people lead such interesting lives (or so they lead you to believe) and it's fascinating to see how they have grown and developed over the years. I do think the creator of Facebook are geniuses. I wish it was something I would have thought of. I've found out that some people just accept any and every body as friends and some people are a little more reserved and only accept the people they want to. I find myself in the second category. Not surprising. There are just some people I don't want to talk to, or don't care what they've been up to and don't want to read their comments on any situation. "Hubby" on the other hand, yeah I got him on it too, accepts EVERYBODY. Well go right ahead. I'm good. Then their are some people that I didn't talk to that much in school but find them to be very intriguing people. This one person I've started to comment back and forth with is one of the most intriguing people on Facebook so far. We went to school together but I never knew they had such a good personality and very witty. I'm always looking for the witty ones. They just seem to accept me a little more. They don't get offended when I say some crazy shit. Anyway, the experiment goes on, I'll keep you posted. Holla.
I'm back...
I'm back. I know it's been a minute since I've been on here. Don't think it's because I haven't had anything to talk about. It more on the lines of not getting enough time in a day. You know sometimes my life is so busy trying to run a business, recruit people, advertise, take the girls to their various places and take care of me. Then on top of all of that, I have this dumb cold. My oldest daughter just started school this year and she had come home twice with a cold since school started. You know people don't keep thier kids out of school when they are sick so the kids just pass the cold around the room. I can't imagine being a teacher and having to try to fight all of the colds that go around. That's why it takes a certain kind of person to be a teacher. Anyway, I'm back and I do have a lot to talk about.

So, I blogged when I decided to sign up for Twitter and now I have hit the social networking experiment road again. This time I've decided to sign up for Facebook. It's only been 3 days now and I'm still a little confused by where I need to make comments. There are spaces for comments to specific people, comments in general and private messages. Are they kidding me? You know I may say some crazy stuff and send it out to the world in a minute. I had to call and friend yesterday just to get a Facebook tutorial. And as if it's not confusing enough on the computer, I've decided to download the app on my BlackBerry. Like I need to try to figure it out on a small screen. I did make a mistake and put a comment in the wrong area. But it only happened once and I just conveniently went to the computer and deleted it. Like it never even happened. But that's what I get for using the BlackBerry. They don't even give you all the options for comments like they do on the computer. We'll as far as I know. Hell maybe they do. You just gotta check back with me on that statement. I do think I may talk a little too much for Facebook crowd though. But it could be that I'm just on there at opposite times than other people. But you know me, I only have small pockets of free time. I don't have a large window or anything. Hell I'm typing this during red light stops. Anyway, I'll continue to blog about it every now and then as I learn what's so special about it. I did see a couple of people that I have really missed in my life. So that's a plus. And of course "Hubby" wants to sign up now. Like I can help him out in any way. But I think it will be a good thing as long as people don't think I'm crazy for my some of my out of nowhere comments. Holla.
For All the Parents Without BUDGETS...
I found a great website for parents who absolutely have NO budget. The website is http://www.poshtots.com/. They have everything from clothes and shoes to baby and children's furniture. I just took a quick glance at the site but I think the most expensive thing I saw was a $75,000 Coach. This thing is definitely made for a princess. It comes with seats, wheels, canopy etc. Can you even imagine. I know I post a lot of pricey things on my blog, but I don't even think I would buy this if I could. It just seems to me like a waste of money. They must not know that "kids are destructive". Anyway, take a look at a couple things I've posted just to give you and idea of the caliber of things were talking about here. Who knows, maybe you'll find something you want to splurge on. Holla.
This crib is what actually brought me to the site. I thought is was nice and wanted to see how much it cost. And from that point on, I was just sucked into the rest of the site.

Reflecting on 9/11...
All my thoughts, love and prayers are with all the families of 9/11. Here I've inserted a couple of pictures of the reflecting pool at Ground Zero. For the families, the memories of 9/11 is an everyday struggle. May they find the strength they need in God to continue to guide them through. The hardest thing to watch is the children who either were to young to know there loved ones or were old enough to know exactly what happened. Either way they have lost a great deal; and children should never have to go through things like this. You all are ALWAYS in my prayers and you are NEVER forgotten. God Bless You.

What a dunk...
As you all know, I am a BIG basketball fan. Usually only NBA but when I see something as unique as this dunk I gotta post and share. I live for the dunk competitions. I should be at the table right next to Kenny Smith with a number card cuz I judge as harsh as they come when it comes to dunks. You've got to bring some originality and above all execute. For those of you who are not basketball fans, Guy Dupuy has literally combined 3 dunks to make this one spectacular dunk. This is a bounce pass to himself, over another player and between the legs. WOW. Holla.
The Secret Life Of Bees
Okay, I got one more for you. Seems like I've watch a lot of television this weekend, but I really haven't I am just informing you on the good stuff. You know you can count on me for all the good stuff. Anyway, I saw this movie that I've been wanting to see ever since the cast appeared on Oprah. The movie is called "The Secret Life of Bees". Directed by Love & Basketball's director Gina Prince-Bythewood. I may be late since I did have to wait until it came on HBO to see it, but I can still comment on it if I want to:). Anyway, it was really good. I was very impressed with DaKota Fanning. She was great as was Alicia Keys. I thought she played the hard role very well. So if you haven't had a chance to check this one out, then do so. It's really a good one. Holla.
Pranked...
Okay, one more for tonight. Since I can't seem to get on here like I should. But I happened to run across another good show tonight. This one is called "Pranked" it airs on MTV. This show is crazy. It is all about what MTV calls the best pranks ever caught on camera. Hosted by collegehumor.com's Streeter Seidell & Amir Blumenfeld, it is hilarious. This is definitely one to check out. Airs Thursday's at 10:30pm. Holla.
The Oprah Effect...
Had to get on here and talk about a show I watched today on CNBC. The show was entitled "The Oprah Effect". It was talking about the effect Oprah Winfrey has on businesses. For many of the business that were featured, they all gained extreme after being featured on The Oprah Show. Many were either noted as one of Oprah's favorite things or were invited guests of the show to promote their products. One company, Carol's Daughter (a fragrance company) which appeared on Oprah grew from a 2 million dollar a year business to a 20 million dollar a year business with Jada Pinkett Smith, Mary J. Blige as spokes models and Jay-Z and Beyonce as investors. They are also in the process of beginning international business.
The next company featured was We Take the Cake. A mail order bakery on the verge of bankruptcy until they received a call from Oprah producers to appear on the show as one of Oprah's favorite things. Within minutes of appearing on the show, the phones of the bakery were ringing non stop and the servers and website crashed. They had over 10,000 orders in a week.
So how serious is the Oprah effect. Does it really exist. Can it happen to anyone. If you had a chance to pitch a idea to Oprah, how do you think it would change your life. Would you even be ready? For the people I saw on this show, they had no idea how fast their business was going to grow and they weren't ready. But they are very happy now. All thanks to 1 person. What an influence. Everybody knows how much I love Oprah so I believe. Then again, we should all know the power of Oprah because she was the first person to endorse Barack Obama. And you see how that turned out. You can check out this show for yourself at http://www.opraheffect.cnbc.com/ Holla.

Songza - The Music Search Engine & Internet Jukebox ...
http://www.songza.fm/
Found this link while searching the Internet like I normally do. Songza is a Music Search Engine and Internet Jukebox. It is advertised as "the easiest way to search for, stream and share any song for free". You can type in the name of any song you would like to hear. The name searched will provide results with artist names, you can then choose the song that you are looking for, and either playthe song, share the song, rate the song, or add it to your play list. It's that simple. You can even sign up and create a playlist. If you choose to share the song, you can share on Facebook or Twitter. And, you can email the song or obtain the song's link. If you decide to create a play list, you can log on to your play list anywhere you can access a computer. they even show videos for the song. Thought it may be something that the music lovers (like me) will like. I haven't tried it on my phone yet, but I will soon and let you know if I am able to play it from there. I am also looking forward to getting on there just to check the whole thing out. But take a look and let me know what you think.

Got Another One for the Shoe Lovers...
$1700 $275.99
This one is strictly for all of my shoe-fanatics. Or for all the men who love to buy crazy expensive shoes for their ladies. There is an amazing designer from Italy (big surprise) named Giuseppe Zanotti who I happen to find while searching the net for hot stuff (as I usually do). Well he is a high fashion shoe designer who debuted with Christian Dior and has also been a consultant for Roberto Cavalli, Missoni and Vera Wang. He has had his own fabulous shoe line since 1993 and is a must for many celebrities. He prides himself on the WoW-Factor. And, if you take a look at some of the designs I’ve found, you’ll see why. Be aware they are very pricey as are a lot of the things I post but you know if it’s hot then who cares. Everybody’s gotta dream. I have to at least do my part and let you know what’s out there so you’ll know where to go WHEN you get the money to buy the hot expensive stuff. Plus who wants me to put pictures out of the stuff you can see for yourself in the nearest mall. So, with that said, let’s take a look at some Italian shoe fashion. I took the liberty to add the prices for you; just in case you get the urge. Holla.
Now I wouldn't have a problem driving around in this... but you know me!!!
So, I am in the process of helping a friend find a Porsche Cayenne and I came across this one. It is for sale in New York. I thought it was beautiful, but of course I would cuz it is one of my favorite colors. Plus, I'm not the kind of person who cares what everyone else thinks about something I'm spending my money on. And to top it all off, It is HOT!!! But,the friend that I am doing this car search for is not a flashy person so I had no idea what he was going to say. But I was gonna give it a shot cuz all he said was he didn't care what color it was or anything cuz the color would probably change and he would be adding rims and tint and everything on his own. Well, I figured it he got this one then most of the work is already done for him. Rims (check), Tint (check), Paint Job (check). What else would he need? So, when in sent him the pics, he immediately called me back to say he liked it, but it was too flashy for him. Just as I thought. So, if you're in the market for a Porsche Cayenne you got my vote on this one. Just let me drive it a couple of times in exchange for not charging you a finders fee. What do you think? Holla.

It's Car Time Again...
So I've been meaning to post this one for a while. Just had to share this with my fellow car fanatics. While at Atlantic Station in Atlanta with "Hubby" we ran across this car just parked. Now, if you now me, you'll know that I take a camera EVERYWHERE I go or just in case the battery situation is not going so good, I have the BlackBerry for backup. Well on this particular day, the batteries were low on the camera so the picture may not look as good as it should since the Blackberry is crazy sometimes, but I am sure you can get the idea. This Mercedes is hottttttt!!! I don't know any way to say it. If I could only meet the owner cuz you know I would have asked to see the inside. But no one was around. Also from the looks of it, they had already put a ticket on it for parking there past the time limit. I am sure the owner didn't even look at the ticket. I know I wouldn't and I would probably park there again the next weekend. Just to piss someone off. J/K. But this is something I could see myself driving. And the fact that it's orange is a plus for me too. Enjoy. Holla.
Vick Is Back...
So thought I would get on here to at least make a comment on the whole Michael Vick situation. As many of you know he is back in the NFL. And I for one am very glad to see him come back. I really thought I was a shame the way the NFL went about the whole Michael Vick dog fighting situation. I call it making him the example. Sure he was out of control and true he was getting into a lot of stuff at that time in his life and I do agree that he needed something to put him on the right path and straighten up his act. But, getting sentenced to jail was a bit much. I mean he organized a Pit Bull dogfighting ring. Okay, are we forgetting how evil those dogs are. They are treating it like he was making some nice little, civilized dogs engage in something they aren't known for. Man please, I haven't seen a Pit that wasn't on the verge of attack. It is just in their nature. If it wasn't him fighting them then it would have been somebody else. It is what they do. People do this all the time. It had nothing to do with the NFL. But this is coming from someone how really just got into football so I really don't know too much about it. But I do have common sense and I know there are much worse crimes being committed by NFL players who are getting a much less sentence by the law and the NFL. It just really seems unfair.
But the jail time is over and the one thing that many thought wouldn't happen has. Mike Vick is being given a second chance at his career. He has recently signed with the Philadelphia Eagles. And from what I hear, they are a good team and he could potentially get to the Super Bowl. How mad will that make the haters. I was personally hoping for him to go to the Buffalo Bills. But that's just my crazy thinking. But lets think about it though. What if Mike Vick (one of the most hated NFL players) went to Buffalo to play alongside Terrell Owens (possible the most hated NFL player) how funny would that be. And what if the team was good. The piss off factor would have been incredible. Then once they started winning then the fans would have no choice but to jump on the ban wagon and cheer. How funny.
Now do I believe the whole "I'm a changed man" thing, I'm not sure. I do know people can change, but I also know people can say what they need to say to get that paper straight. So I guess as long as the people writing the checks agree on his return then I guess whether they believe him or not doesn't even matter. At the end of the day, if he can make them money and they can put him back on and help his pockets in the meantime, that's all that matters. But you can only front for so long, so we'll see. Holla.

Japanese Chicken Wings
Okay, so I've started cooking in the last year or so. Guess that what you gotta do when you have kids unless you want the whole family to starve. But this is one of the recipes that I have actually made a couple of times. It is really good. I suggest pairing it with the Lipton Asian Sides Teriyaki flavor. It really compliments the chicken. You can even do this on boneless chicken breasts or nuggets. My husband doesn't eat chicken on bones so I have to get creative. Enjoy. Holla.

It's Burger Time...
Okay, check this out. Many of you know I am in constant search of the best Burger in Atlanta. Well, thanks to Global14.com I have come across a very good contender. I haven't actually tried the burger yet, but the reviews have been great. Plus, they actually serve these burgers for a limited time only. So, even if the burger isn't that good, I gotta give it up for the marketing and advertisement of the whole thing.
So just to give you a little insight on the whole situation let me explain how crazy burger situation is. The signature burger is called the "Down Low Cheeseburger". It is such a special item that they don't even put it on the menu. However, at 10pm each night they make 24 burgers available for purchase. Reservations are not accepted so arrive early. They usually sell out within 5 minutes according to some of the reviews I've read. Also on Sunday during Brunch they acually have them available for dine in or carry out orders.
The burger itself consists of 2 brisket/chuck patties smothered in cheese... topped with house made bread from the Holeman and Finch Bakery located next door, red onions, bread-and-butter pickles, homeade ketchup, and yellow mustard.
So here's the info you need before you go. Cuz I'm sure you want to go now. Let me know what you think. Holla.

For all the Dark liquor drinkers...
Okay people I know I haven't been on here in a while. I've been having some computer issues and had to get some things fixed. Well as you can see I have already posted one entry tonight even though it wasn't really a post, it was just a video. But, I did come across it while on Youtube and thought is was very interesting. I don't really know anyone who can do that. I know for sure I'm not the one. Anyway, in keeping with the theme, I thought I would put yall onto something that i heard was really good. Johnny Walker Blue Label and Johnny Walker Green Label. I haven't actually tasted it myself because I don't drink dark liquor, but just thought I would pass it along for those of you who do. I am a Vodka girl, so if you know of some new very tasty Vodka, then hit me up and let me know. If you decide to taste it, save me a small corner. Just Kidding. But for real save me the bottle cuz those of you who know me know I love the bottles and I am very grateful for those of you who look out for me when you finish those bottles of liquor. I love having liquor drinking friends. Anyway, take a look and let me know if you have tried either of these and if so what you thought about them. Holla.
GUY DRINKS A WHOLE BOTTLE OF PATRON
I know I haven't been on here in a while. Computer issues, but I had to post this one. This guy is crazy. Take a look.

2008-2009 NBA Champion Los Angeles LAKERS!!!
Congrats to the LA Lakers on the 2008-2009 NBA Championship. It was a long road, but they did it. After the big 39 point defeat against the Boston Celtics last year. You can really tell they worked hard as hell for this one. I am proud of them. And yes I am a winner as well because I picked the Lakers at the beginning of the season as my Western Conference team. So it's a win win.
One thing I am getting tired of though is how the announcers want to make a big deal about this championship being the first one without Shaq. Well, Shaq has one without Kobe first of all. And secondly, Shaq was one of the first people on Twitter congratulating the Lakers. And yes that includes Kobe. So people need to chill with making such a big deal out of nothing. Just had to say that.
Anyway, back to the celebration. I came across this shirt on the Internet that I really love. I think all of my Lakers fans will love this one too. I really wish I could find a price for this and order up a couple dozen to send to a few people I know.
Anyway, Enjoy the ride Lakers. You are the best in the NBA. Holla.

What??? Usher and Tameka Getting A Divorce
Can you believe it? Well I guess it actually isn't that unbelievable but according to sources, Usher filed for divorce this morning in Atlanta. Below is a quote about the situation.
“The Grammy winner has been living apart from his wife for nearly a year after almost two years of marriage,” an insider reports. “Usher’s primary concern is for his children. He is a great father and just wants to do what is right for them.” The soon-to-be exes have two kids together, Usher Raymond V, 18 months, and Naviyd, 6 months. And the insider says that it’s more than just talk — the divorce papers were filed in Atlanta this morning. The couple has faced problems in the past. In November 2008, In Touch reported that Usher was flirting with girls at a party in Miami, and even asked a model what she was doing afterward. And in February, In Touch revealed that although Usher flew to Tameka’s side after she suffered cardiac arrest from cosmetic surgery in Brazil, he “had no idea that she was there to have surgery.”
I really hate to hear it because despite the fact that I don't think the two make a cute couple, I think Tameka is a positive woman and I am sure she will be okay. Plus she just had 2 kids for this dude over the last 2 years so her pockets will be okay too. She got in, had 2 kids and now getting out. Well she definitely set her self up pretty well.
Maybe we will get a good Usher cd out of this. You all know how good the Confessions cd was and that came after the big Usher/Chili breakup. I personally think he makes his best music when he's going through some shit. Because no one really wants to hear that I'm happy and everything is going well R&B music. Not saying I don't want that for the artist, but we just don't want to hear about it. At least lie to us and make some good damn music. Now Usher and Keyshia Cole can get together. I really think they would make a very cute couple. I haven't even heard anything about the two of them even hanging with each other, but I would just personally love to see them together. But that's just my opinion. If it happens then remember I willed it. Holla.

That Damn Bentley GT...
Thought I would hit you with this one too since I haven't had a chance to get on here in a while. We can you guess who this belongs to? Once I tell the answer then the whole thing will make sense. Well wait no more, It's none other than Paris Hilton. Now anyone who knows me knows I am NOT a pink person I prefer purple, but this shit is hot!!!! I wouldn't even mind driving this. Oh yeah not to mention it is a Bentley so who would mind driving a Bentley. But I really do like it. She even has pink rims. Who the hell has pink rims. These celebrities are really putting this pink out there. I do love my purple Bentley at the top of my page but again this is hot too. If I'm lucky I can drive one during the week and one on the weekend. Yeah Right.
Have you had a chance to check out the beef between Trey Songz and R. Kelly. I really don't know where all of this came from, but Trey is really calling him out. As you know, I am down with Trey Songz because he is part of the Ocean's 7. Plus I am trying to get my daughter off of Chris Brown's crazy ass and put her onto Trey Songz since he has proved to be pretty sane so far. But take a listen for yourself and see how hard he is going at R. Kelly. I am sure this will get interesting once R. Kelly decides to reply.
